Building Birdhouses Part 2

Small bird house for small birds, what a brilliant idea!

This is when we had two houses done, but the others were still getting finished.

The tenants are going to complain about the draft, I just know it...

This is me, hard at work... DONT MISS!!!!

We made christmas swags too.
"Not as much fun as making birdhouses..."
-Grandpa

I've decided to work on this one some more at woodshop in school. I am going to sand it down, then put some varnish on it. Also, this is the only birdhouse with a banch-perch.

I think this is right before I realized my hand was screwed onto the baord... no wait, that happened later.

The whole collection of birdhouses, not including what we made today and yesterday.

This is the first birdhouse that we painted, but later we put on a sign that said,"Home Tweet Home."

Building Birdhouses Part 1

Last weekend, I went to my grandpa's house to make birdhouses to sell as a fundraiser to go to Washington D.C. While at Grandpa Sam’s house, we made a total of about 4 birdhouses with different additions. Pictures of the different birdhouse models will be posted soon. We, Grandpa Sam and I plan to sell them in front of the Safeway in Battle Ground, and I will make posters and put them on community bulletin boards in Ridgefield. Also, if you would like to pre-order one, or a few, I will have the prices posted hopefully over the weekend.

This was the frame of the 1st revised model, and any birds crazy enough to live here would DEFINITELY feel a draft!=D

This was an almost-finished view of the revised, unworking model

3 hours of work->4 hours of work
original size->3inches less than orginal size...
was it really worth 4 hours of work for 3 inches???

This is a copy of the 2nd revised model, which actually worked

This is the 2nd revised version of the orgingal model... finally, a good pattern to follow!
